Our Story

Hey there! Welcome to Lexi Leigh Boutique! I’m Alexis - founder, owner, maker, creator, and all the other faces behind this business!

Let me start off by telling you why I started Lexi Leigh Boutique. I have been knitting since I was 8 years old. My grandma taught me basic stitches and I just took off from there. I instantly fell in love and I loved sitting with her and crafting. We have always shared our passions for crafts with each other (in fact - we are the only crafty ones in the fam!) I spent a lot of time with my grandma growing up and she has introduced me to so many different things! When I was 18, I started to learn to crochet. I started learning that craft here and there, starting with hats and scarves. After taking a break from the craft for a while, I got back into it when I was pregnant with my son. This was my safe haven as I suffered from postpartum depression and anxiety.

My inspiration is, of course, my son Malcolm. When he was 4 months old, I decided to take the plunge and start my business! I then learn how to make stuffed animals and wanted to make him his own set of handmade animals. Once I started posting those, the support from the community was outstanding! Then I just grew from there and here I am today!

I hope you got a bit of insight of my inspiration and why I started this business. Although this is a one woman show, I truly couldn’t do this without the support of my fiancé, Kris, and my family. They have encouraged me and pushed me to really strive in this amazing community and business. I have so many things planned for this business and can’t wait to show you all the cute things coming!
